Bloomsburg Ties Slippery Rock in Men's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team concluded their 2006 season with a 1-1 tie with Slippery Rock in a Saturday afternoon Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match up at Sports Stadium.

With seven minutes left to play in the half, Jared Ferriera (Newton, NJ/Newton) scored off an assist from Josh Prall (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) to give the Huskies the lead going into halftime.

Towards the end of the second half, Slippery Rock's Chris Graham scored off a Ben Hauber assist to send the game into overtime.

In double overtime, Bloomsburg managed four shots but was unable to score against Slippery Rock.

For Slippery Rock (11-7-1, 10-5-1 PSAC), Brandon McQuillen saved six shots for the game, while Bloomsburg's Jon Keller (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) saved a total of 11 shots.

The Bloomsburg Huskies conclude their season with a 3-13-2 overall record, 3-11-2 in the PSAC.
